Rolled onto PEI

Sunday morning forecast.

If it gets any colder we could have skated over here. There is a frost warning on parts of the island. Got into the 30’s last night. That’s Fahrenheit for all you still state side.

Kilometers, Celsius, 2 dollar coins, it’s CRAZY over here in the maritimes.

But I’m happy to find they still have the “Pint”.

My first impression of PEI was lackluster. We had heard of the bottle houses (houses made out of bottles), and we wanted to see them.

There was a house, a chapel, and something else but I got bored and didn’t take anymore pics.

We spent the night at a cute little brewery on the north side of the island.

This was our spot for Saturday night

Very good beer and full kitchen for dinner.

That’s our house in the distance
This was my beer

Woke up to cold Sunday morning, but the sun was enough to charge the batteries so we did not have to run the generator. We use propane for heat and the fan uses very little power. If we can plug in we use electric heat.

Morning view of the bay
Anne with an E

Yes, before we left we watched Anne of Green Gables. We went to the Heritage site and it was very interesting. In case you didn’t know, I’m very sensitive.

The Dunes Gallery

Stopped at an art gallery and studio. It was very high end and very nice with a cafe and gardens. Highly recommend. Would not let you take pics inside.

Oysters for dinner

Our host for the night is Brackley Bay Oyster Company. They actually have their own 20 acre oyster farm out in the bay. Very interesting.
