May 13, 2026 – Cobleskill, NY

We arrived just before 2:30 to our Harvest Host site, Grapevine Winery in Cobleskill, NY. Travel today started out overcast, but with potential for clearing skies. We were thrilled when the sun came out and gave our solar power a boost. But no sooner did we stop doing the happy dance when clouds appeared, and then the rain. No worries. There’s still enough power for morning coffee ☕️. Some Harvest Host sites have electric hookup, but some do not. Last night and tonight the sites had no hookups.

We learned the kitchen was serving food until 3:00pm. Lucky for us there was no waiting.

Our host suggested we pick a spot behind the building for the night. (Three floors of cutesy shopping and a lower level with wine tasting.)

The countryside here is quite beautiful – rolling hills, tall trees, lush vegetation. It’s bound to be another peaceful night.

Tomorrow we’re off to Massachusetts.
